Property Engineer

The Property Engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and management of a diverse property portfolio, including a 96-room residential dormitory, a 1000-person capacity event place, and a 3500+ square meter commercial building. The candidate will ensure that all air conditioning and electrical facilities are operating efficiently and safely. This function will act as the assigned Pollution Control Officer for all properties.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, electrical installations, and other building services.
● Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
● Manage and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors to perform necessary repairs and upgrades.
● Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all properties.
● Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies related to the building’s facilities.
● Monitor energy consumption and implement measures to reduce operational costs.
● Liaise with tenants and clients to address their concerns regarding facility-related issues.
● Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and reports.
● Prepare and manage the budget for maintenance and repair works.
● Ensure that all properties are well-maintained and presentable at all times.
● Prepare initial cost estimates and terms of reference for special projects, and job/purchase requests
● Stock inventory management
● Create cost-saving programs within the area of responsibility
● Meter readings, analysis and endorsement of billing to accounting department
● Statutory and regulatory requirements compliance
● Evaluate and endorse approval of construction plans
● Lead the space turnover activity
● Property Engineer will also act as the assigned Pollution Control Officer of all
properties.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
● Registered Electrical/Mechanical Engineer (REE/RME) license
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in property or facilities management. New graduates can be considered based on skills.
● Preferably has previous designation as Pollution Control Officer
● Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation.
● Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
● Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Proficient in the use of computer software for facility management.

Working Conditions:
The Property Engineer will be expected to work a 6-day work week, with the possibility of being on call for emergencies outside of regular working hours.
