NOTE: This position will be on-site and will be based in Sto. Tomas, Batangas
First Philippine Industrial Park is looking for a Laboratory Technician who will conduct grab sampling and laboratory testing of water and wastewater samples and assists in preparing qualitative analysis and report of the sample results.
What you'll be doing:
Laboratory Analysis
- Represents the company in all laboratory-related activities, initiatives, and programs as Laboratory Technician
- Conducts laboratory analyses of water and wastewater samples
- Assist QA Internal Lead in maintaining compliance requirements of wastewater operations
Legal representation/Compliance
- Assists/facilitates Locators’ compliance with all environmental laws, policies, and guidelines stipulated under FPIP’s Deed of Restrictions, Park Rules, and Regulations as well as issuances, circulars, and guidelines issued by FUI.
- Conduct a Locator’s visit (as necessary) for verification of processes affecting effluent quality and/or to witness sampling protocol by laboratory staff.
- Conduct site inspection (as necessary) to validate the Locator’s compliance with effluent regulation and/or permit conditions stipulated on the certificate of sewer interconnection (CSI)
Customer Service
- Achieves customer service delight in every opportunity of interaction with guests, Locators,
prospects, communities, suppliers, and service providers/contractors.
Sample Collection
- Conducts gab sampling on all process areas in wastewater and water operations
- Ensures high accuracy in sample preparation and analysis
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by superiors related to internal processes and/or company initiatives
What we're looking for:
- Education: At least high school graduate (a two-year technical course related to Chemistry or the water industry is an advantage but not required)
- Experience: At least 1 year experience in a laboratory setting
- Skills: Good data organization and management, analytical skills
